General Gameplay Ability to "Select" an Enclosure and view its Size + Other Info

Upon building an enclosure, the player should have the option to "select" the enclosure, which will reveal the dimensions of the enclosure, including its grassland, forest, and wetland composition.

Before I begin incubating a dinosaur, I want to know if the enclosure I've built is big enough for them. In my opinion, it doesn't make sense for the player to adjust the size of the enclosure on the fly after they've already introduced the dinosaur to it.

There could be some other information as well. For example, selecting an enclosure could list the number of dinosaurs of each species in that enclosure. (For example: 3 Brachiosaurus, 5 Apatosaurus, 6 Troodon, etc). This will be a better way of knowing exactly how many dinosaurs of a specific species you have in a single enclosure, as opposed to manually counting each dinosaur. This would be useful when your dinosaurs begin to pass away from natural causes, and you need to know how many you need to incubate.

It makes sense to a point. It makes sense that you wouldn't know what a prehistoric animal needs before you clone it. Only after you've cloned it once will you have that information.

So yes, having enclosure information would fix this problem. It would be logical to have this information on the map screen.

Errrm, it's a game about working out how to build a park - giving you the numbers up front makes it into a spreadsheet exercise. You soon get a feel for how much space different animals want.

Zoo Tycoon 1 had very specific information and requirements for enclosures and it was the single best feature of the game. It was lots of fun to create the perfect exhibit for each animal.

I'm not asking to know the dinosaur's habitat requirements up front, I agree with what LordTrilobite said about not knowing the requirements until after you've cloned the dinosaur for the first time. What I'm saying is that we should be able to know exactly how big our enclosures are. I'm sorry if there was confusion. When my parks begin to get cramped, I often have to build irregular shaped enclosures, and it's pretty difficult to "feel" whether or not it'll be enough room.

I totally agree, I don't even know why the dev didn't implement or didn't think of implement this feature from first release since it appears to me as a necessary feature to keep the realism of the game.

I was watching BIS play the Prehistoric Kingdom alpha, and the game allows you to view the size of an enclosure, and I thought, "Why doesn't JWE have that yet?" When it comes to content, I don't like to compare JWE to other games such as JPOG or Prehistoric Kingdom, because JWE should be its own unique game and be able to stand by itself. However, when it comes to quality of life changes that make the game less frustrating, such as this feature, I do believe it's appropriate to compare JWE to other games.

Because Frontier literally published this game with a way too high price while it was hardly finished.
