As the title suggests. I absolutely hate that I have to again find my destination and lock it when I'm tagging ships in SC. I like to see what 'wanted' status surrounding ships are as I make my way to stations but having to keep re-aquiring my destination after each tag is soooooo frustrating!!! A separate target ship and target destination button would be awesome allowing me to select a fixed destination and maintain that while I target ships for scanning!

Hmm maybe I need to set up my target lock button on my stick to target next ship instead of just target? Does target next ship ignore USS's and FSD wakes though? I sometimes want to quickly alter course to those. If not its great I can make a target destination command on voice attack to handle navigation.
I bound on my stick 2 buttons for next and previous ship but it does only that - select next and previous ship. That never selects USS nor FSD wakes. So if you want to select USS you need to do it with select target in front or from left panel and this will remove selection if you had any previous selection (this includes stations, planets and ships).
But those 2 buttons (previous/next ship) I find really needed and useful for my super cruse flight.
Target next on the stick would be fine I think. The the USS and nav stuff can be done on VA. I'll try it later.
