Abnormal Compact Emission Data

I'm really desperate to find "Abnormal Compact Emission Data". I'm searching in the USS "Encoded Emissions Detected" in Deep Space and didn't find a single entity after ~7 hours. I appreciate any tips to find some...

The most frustrating thing about it is that it seems to be ultra rare. The RNG is layered so much with this material: USS in Deep Space is either "Degraded Emissions Detected", "High Grade Emissions Detected" or "Encoded Emissions Detected". Then you have to have the luck that there is a Private Data beacon in the Signal Source. And on top of that it shares the "loot table" with so many nonsense data ... it's obnoxious.

At this point I guess it's more profitable to sit at the mission board in Sothis/Ceos and flip the hell out of it for a single item as reward. Another point I don't understand, why get 4 commodities as reward, but still only 1 material.

As said, I'll appreciate any help [hotas]

I'm stuck with the same problem. To the best of my knowledge we should look into Encoded Emissions USS in deep space anywhere within the bubble. Prvate beacon scan, very rare drop
Have you managed to find any?

Those 'XYZ Emission Data' are indeed the hardest to come by. After the in game description, you should be getting them from NPC scanning and from signal sources (which means 'Encoded Emission' USS). They are just very rare. For comparison, it took me 3 weeks to find some 'Irregular Emission Data'. And those are labelled with 'standard' rarity.
So good luck. Collecting them through missions might be less frustrating.
Allow me one word of advice: they are used for clean drive tuning only. IMHO, dirty drive tuning is (in 95% of use cases) the better option.

I'm trying to build the coldest FDL I can get which falls into those 5% of use cases where clean drive tuning is better, if I get it right. I've had 1 unit of that data somehow and got mediocre grade 5 roll out of that. Now trying to improve and it's real challenge.

It took me about 4 days of searching several systems for the Encoded Emissions USSs to get a decent amount Abnormal Compact Emissions (about 7 of them which becomes 21 after the x3). The system I had the best luck in was Diaguandri, they seemed to spawn more often around the far star in the system. Before that I had visited three or four systems and had a devil of a time finding Encoded Emissions.

I've only gotten them once from targeting ships (no wake scanner or KWS needed) since Engineers dropped. I targeted a System Security Anaconda and it came back with about 5 different data types, one of which was Abnormal Compact Emissions. I've also gotten them once from Degraded Emissions USS. Guess it's all dependent on the RNG gods.

I could of sworn I got them from scanning ships and wakes, though now I'm not so sure. I just checked and I have scads of the little boogers, though, so I got them somewhere. I'd donate some to the OP if they were transferable.

I'm looking for this stuff for Grade5 Clean drives, Encoded Emmission Sources with a data point definitely give them. I just pointed a ship straight out (I chose barnards loop on the skybox for a heading) & found one (3) after 10mins & about 100,000ls.

I have been doing trade runs between two systems that spawns Encoded Emissions. I have done over 200 runs with an average of about 5 USS appearing per trip. About 1 in 30, are Encoded USS's and out of the many i have entered, I have managed to find 1 so far (3) to put it in perspective I have stopped picking other stuff up, such as Imperial Shields and Core Dynamics stuff... because I have tons of it now...and that's meant to be rare. I have heard that it used to be easier to find, but from 2.2 its become near impossible. So this could be a bug.

I found that going to a high pop, high security zone that I wasn't allied with produced the quickest result (subjective, the RNG gods may have been riding my wake at the time)

These systems had a high proportion of dangerous-elite anacondas as system security which I could scan from just sitting in supercruise between the main star and main station. Four of them (in about two hours of drifting) gave me ACED hits, along with one of the USS's that spawned

2017 now, still seems near impossible to find Abnormal Compact Emission Data. Any new leads on how to get them? Anyone?

"AECD drops are not common from Anaconda scans but if I have room I scan everything (the churn again). I think you get better results in boom state."
