About fines.

i'm wanted with a 800 cr fine. Now this is the part i don't understand i had to wait on the timer and to be told to h-jump?. I h-jump and then went back to the same system,but now i'm confused and i could not find anywhere on my ship computer info i owed 800cr fine. I docked and paid the fine off,but how am i suppose to know if i ow a fine if it don't show up in my ship computer panel?

Sorry for the bump. But how do i know if i ow a fine in a system if it's not shown up in my ship computer panel? So far it it only shows up in the docking station where you pay it off.

You're correct. Once the timer expires and you have jumped out of the system, the bounty/fine becomes legacy and will not show up in your transaction panel. Just go to the system where you received the bounty/fine and select the contacts in the star port services. Pay the legacy fine and you're done. Viola!

Some info on what you've done to get a fine would be nice to know.
I ended up with this

I know what the small one is for, no idea about the bigger one.

I agree, fines should be visible in the transactions panel, so you can pay them before they turn back into bounties (if that's even what they do after a week, this system always confuses me).

Knowing what the fine is for would also be nice.

I haven't a clue what I did.
At no point when I was in the system did anything appear saying I'd done something wrong.

I refuse to pay.
They can send the bailiffs :p

Whenever you get a fine, it tells you why at the top right of your screen immediately after you get it, but if you're busy with something like nav panel, it's easy to miss it. It doesn't show it for very long. 400cr fine would probably be for something like bumping into another ship while speeding in the no fire zone coming out of the station. There's a 100 km/h speed limit that nobody takes any notice of. There's no penalty unless you bump someone.

Yep. I know.
The small fine came from leaving the station.
Turned out there was a bit of a firefight going on outside.
The muppet NPC in front of me either decided to stop in the mail slot to watch the fireworks, or was too scared to go out.
Either way, I got stuck in the slot as well.

Got the notice about loitering etc.
The big fine, I think I may have been scanned, but no alerts came up about fines.

I've been scanned with illicit cargo before.
Never ended up with a fine that large.
Oh well.....
