About passenger missions.... need help.

Took a mission to transport a famous explorer 1800 light years to gargantuan, vy canus majoris system....

on arrival there is a giant yellow red sun and purple one about 11000 ls out... i approach and scan both with nothing else showing up despite a scan from my advanced discovery scanner, i havnt recieved an update from my passnger so i dont want to start heading back yet(1800 lys took a while to get there at 20 ly jumps).

Just want to know if anyone has tried any similar missions and how they play out pls.

Hmm, are you sure there are no tourist beacons out there? Double check all of the criteria of the mission. Either way you should get a "mission critical update". If not, then I would probably submit a bug report....just to be on the safe side.

Uploading a few pics to help you, hang on...

THe tourist beacons show up on the list of planets/stars/USS etc in the left side navigation console. (pic 1). If its not there honk the discovery scanner.

Click on it to set a destination marker then fly to it like you fly to an USS.

Drop at the site, then target the beacon and approach it to scan it, just like you scan a ship. (pic 2)

After the scan you get a confirmation, and the trivia for the specific beacon shows up in your messages (pic 3)

I am having the same issue as you, did you find a fix? Or did you just submit a bug report?
