I've been out & about recently figuring out how to do the exobiology stuff on my own when on one planet I really noticed this part of my anaconda for the first time.
There seems to be some sort of forward facing room at the very front. I just noticed it the other day because I was on foot jumping around on my way back to the ship after scanning a lifeform. Is this a spot we can sit in if we're in a multi-crew function or is it just for show?
