About the "ticket booth" at the beginning of the queue

I've seen a lot of people talking about the "ticket booth" and employee at the beginning of the ride, and how they want someone to take tickets at the end of the queue.

But... most parks I've been to have someone like that at the beginning of the queue.

If you look closely, you can see an employee standing at the entrance to the Millenium Force.

I am going to disagree with people saying the person shouldn't be there (or should be moved). I like having that employee there (though I do wish you could toggle the archway on or off.. I like to theme around the entrance and I hate how bulky it is.. hard to hide the dang thing..).

But there are also parks in which people have to pay at the ride itself! Would just be nice to have that feature optionally. (Also whether the booth is at the beginning or end of a queue (with a cash collecting sound!!)) [haha] [tongue]

To be honest I don't get Ticket Booths at all since I have never been to a theme park where you don't just pay the ticket price for admission so I would be happy to have no ticket booth at all tbh. Maybe it just needs a tick box for it on/off and then have the ability to select position along the que length or start/end and then everyone would be happy.

The ticket booths make better sense when they are splitting the queue from express (reduce cue time access) and general queue where guests stand for the whole period of wait time. This is since in the bigger parks WDW and Universal plus others offer quick lines for guests to save them waiting all day in long queues and allow them to get on more rides. I don't think it makes a lot of sense to have an express lane for peps. Until it would help with happiness level for getting on a ride quick. [rolleyes]

or simple give us the option to chopse a booth design, with no design

i mean, just the path without that arc and employe.

So we can choose between different styles - and one that simply looks like the queue path.

I'm absolutely a-okay with the people being at the front possibly taking tickets/ admission price, I just wish that the arch was optional. Like others have said, it can get in the way of scenery and is pretty bulky. It looks awesome, but doesn't fit with heavily-themed areas that well.

Oh, an those signs at the beginning of a queue shouldn't be missing (you know, with that moving text!) [yesnod]

And maany old rct scenarios used the ticket booth at the end option, with letting people pay there, it's much more fun to have different options.

Id say make it where the player can place blank signs and be able to "write in" the ride's name or whatever the sign is for (i.e. naming a food court or section of a park). the signs would have preset font types to choose from to mix and match to their taste.

Since signs were mentioned, how about directional signs that the player could type different things on similar to this:

It would be great to be able to choose. If we select a ride price, the ticket booth will be at the end of the queue and if the ride is ride, it will be at the beginning of the queue. For the 2 options, it would be great to be able to customize the entrance. Let's hope to see many options...
