About this dolphin and orca thing..

(Hopefully, this doesn't bring people in the wrong way even though I'm not sure if this is still going on)

So there has been a bit of a controversy about whether or not Frontier should add animals like Dolphins and Orcas to the game because they are kept in captivity. But we do have to remember that not only is this a zoo game, but this is a zoo game where you can release animals if there is an overpopulation, maturation, incorrect gender ratio, or just for fun. But just like my manatee thread, it would be almost impossible because they will need to make it possible for keepers, vets, caretakers, and mechanics to go in. I just wanted to talk about this whole thing and how it doesn't have to be so controversial.

Personally, I’d welcome dolphins and orcas. I’d have a whale of a good time building habitats for them.
It would be oceans of fun!
I’d treat them humanely too. There’d be no fishy business in my zoos.
I hope that you all sea my point.
I really hope that Frontier likes this concept and makes it work. This idea shouldn’t sleep with the fishes.

When there are so many land animals that have yet to be included. Outside of a aquarium Expansion Pack I personally don't want to sea them...

I think Frontier could add fully marine animals like dolphins and orcas. Cause you can create so many beautiful habitats for them. Plus, you'd be able to have a choice, you don't have to get a fully Marine Mania pack or whatever, you have a choice. Nobody forces you to make dolphin parks. Plus Zootycoon2 is the OG zoo game, it did have fully aquatic animals and a way to house them, so...why not? It's a game after all, it's not real.

Beluga is the ONE marine habitat animal I'd be sooooo grateful and exceeted for!
I loved them since I saw them (IDK if it was TV or book or what) for the first time. I've seen them in person since then and they are purest white animal you could imagine.
I wanted to do a Beluga encounter. Still do...

I saw them in the wild in Svalbard. Only 1 though, but they are really cool! Beluga, Orca, River dolphins, Manatees, porpoises, yeah they would make solid addition to the roster if we ever get a Fully Aquatic expansion.

The game is designed to be a realistic zoo simulator (barring obvious gameplay limitations) with a focus on conservation. Consistently throughout history the capture, containment, showcasing, and even breeding of large marine mammals like whales and dolphins has been detrimental to their conservation. The controversy exists because X group of people wants the game to suddenly ignore its own message to appease their Zoo Tycoon nostalgia, and Y group of people thinks the game should stick to its message and not touch the actual real world controversy with a ten foot pole.
