Hardware & Technical About to switch from Xbox to PC, let me know if this is a good purchace please

With a Rift included that's a pretty solid deal. I would plan on adding another 8gb of memory and from what I read in the questions and answers it does have the available slots to do so.

If I just wanted a rig for Elite with a Rift that looks like the ticket. Yeah you could build better, but not for that price.

I would want more ram with the GPU for sure... 3gb is getting very thin these days. That being said it should be on par or a bit faster than my rig, and the price is pretty good when you roll the Rift in with it. You will need a monitor of some sort to use when you are not using VR. If you get it, let us know how it runs.

Thats just a bad build. I mean, the price is quite nice when you take the Rift away, but you dont get nothing much either.

With those specs, you will run Elite in VR just barely, with minimum graphical settings and trust me, its not what you want when using VR.
OP said that he doesnt need top line equipment, but i dont see any fun in running VR with crappy graphics with just barely staying in the 90 fps, if even that with that build..

Also, theres no PSU and motherboard specs, quite crucial when thinking of upgrading in the future. Another 8Gb of memory is definitely recommended, although not mandatory.
But, do you even know can you add more memory as there were no mobo specs? Quite important information i would say..

Im not ruling out that setup completely, like i said, you can run Elite with that, but dont be disappointed when the game looks like that the pixels have gathered to mate.
