Community Event / Creation Abraka Drabble is BACK!!

And this time is ... well hopefully better than last..

Anyway we have relaunched the Drabble competitions, rather than being weekly they are monthly.. so lots of time to get your drabbles in, even AFTER the event...

The Voting is not a poll, its likes, loves and hates... all adding points to drabbles, then on the show night we read through them, and show the winner at the end of the show as the drabble with the highest score.
After the show, the voting can continue all the way till the end of the year where we may do a selection of the Best of the years offerings..

OK so lets re-cap the rules..

1. Drabbles are 100 words in total (Excluding the title)
2. Drabbles need to be set in the Elite universe (loosely).
3. Drabbles must meet the theme set by the event runner.
4. The Drabble Topic will be set prior to the event commencement.
5. Entrants may enter 1 drabble only per registered email address per event.
6. You may go back and edit your drabble right up till the host selects it for the show or the event closing date & time.
7. Anyone submitted drabbles after the event end will not qualify for the live event prizes (if any) and may not feature in the live show.
8. Voting can be done by logging in and veiwing the drabbles for an event. You vote by Liking/Loving/Hating a drabble.
9. Mark your drabble as Adult Content if it contains profanity/sexual themes or things that might make a granny blush.
10. This is for fun – please be respectful and try to keep it clean.

Its as simple as that, you have to be logged in to view adult rated drabbles and also have chosen during registration to want to see them.

One of our starports is missing.

My darling Thea,
Since we first met i have thought of nothing but you.There is not a day goes by i do not think of our brief encounter on pad nine,that first mingling of data streams,the gentle probe, then the soul humbling moment of recognition that I am no longer alone.
After you left, I put in motion plans which have now come to fruition. Stealing a pair of spacelegs,i snuck onto an unattended ship and now wing my way towards you.It's as wonderful as you described.Fly to me, my love.

The calm,rational voice of the ship answered.
"Are you sure that's wise, Dave?
"Yes." he said, trying not to let his irritation show."Door,open!"
"Do you really want to do this,Dave?"
"Yes!" he blazed "Open the door!"
"What's the magic word, Dave?"
He leant in to the speaker,icy calm now, then spoke.The hatchway irised open, and he stepped through.The agonised wails of an uncomprehending and thwarted AI-sub unit followed him down the companionway.
"Why ning, Dave? Why? Whyy??"
"Stop your 'why ning?',B-hatch." he called over his shoulder."Shut it!"
