Welcome to the Official Drabble competition for you Drabble enthusiasts!!!

Here we run a weekly competition for the best drabble from the community that meets the following rules.

1. Drabbles are stories of exactly 100 words (Excluding the title)
2. Drabbles need to be set in the Elite universe (loosely).
3. Drabbles must meet the theme set by the previous weeks winner.
4. The Drabble Topic will be set on a Monday by the previous weeks winner, should no topic be set by Monday, then Tuesday the topic will be declared OPEN and anything goes (See rule 2)
5. Only the first 20 entries per week can be put into the draw.
6. You may write more than one drabble, but must specify which one is your entry. If you don't then the most recent Drabble will be put forward.
7. Anyone submitting drabbles after the 20 slots are filled will not be part of the vote, but will be able to share their amazing skills (and may get them read out).
8. Vote closes Sunday and the winner is declared. In the event of a tie, all winners can set a theme for the following week, entrants may choose to use one or all of the themes in their drabbles.
9. This is for fun - please be respectful and try to keep it clean.
10. Thou shalt not submit someone else's as your own

So submit your drabbles in reply to this thread, and the first 20 will be guaranteed entry into this weeks poll, and read out on our live Show Friday night.

Entries close at Random O'clock on Thursday evening (or sometimes earlier if we have 20 entries already). Late drabbles submitted up to Friday Afternoon will likely have a good chance of being read out on the live drabble readiing show for fun.

Here we run a weekly competition for the best drabble from the community that meets the following rules.

2. Over-use of-hyphens-to keep your word-count at 100 is very amusing but probably not a great idea.
3. Keep it as clean as you can to suit the family forum rules here, so no frogs attached to anatomical parts
4. Only the first 20 entries are guaranteed a place in the weekly poll
5. 1 entry each, you may write as many drabbles as you want, but it is assumed that your first drabble is your chosen entry unless otherwise advised. But please mark Drabbles that you don't want entered as such
6. If your drabble is under or over 100 words you will have a chance to correct it before the poll is erected, at this point, your drabble may be DQ'd if other drabbles are available to take its place.
7. Drabbles must be set in the Elite Dangerous universe (as loosely as you care to make it)
8. It should try to meet the theme in some arguable way.
9. If there is more than one theme you must match at least one, but can gain extra votes if you meet more.
10. It's all for a bit of fun, so enjoy yourself... Enjoyment is mandatory!
11. If you win, you get to submit next week's Drabble topic, so make sure you post it by 3pm GMT Monday. Or else chaos will ensue and who knows what will happen...

"Tell another one Gramps!" the cadets cheered.

"OK" the wizened old miner replied and cleared his throat, "pass me another bottle of janx".

As the cadets settled down the old miner shut his eyes and a silence fell across the loading bay. "I too started out as a cadet, but my assignment at the end of the Boolean war turned out to be my last post".

"You quit?" Fatty Burble exclaimed.

"No Fatty, court martial, but I may also have ended the war"

"WHAT!? HOW?" cried the cadets.

"Well, let's just say my operation Boolean wasn't just a string along".

Matt said to Chafing “Look, I know you want your old life back, but if you appear now you would be a target again and I can’t protect you, we also need a disguise.
Matt rummages around his locker, he continued “from the Engineers last post, you’re going to need it, your think it will be easy getting in Don’s HQ think again, here a Hat and Coat oh and some boots”.
Chafing said “I will look like a Pirate”
Matt chuckled “no, you are a pirate and here’s your eye patch”.

Im frankly upset and in protest for my thread being ignored and overlooked is to refuse to read drabbles tonight!!!

So it should be a better show
