Newcomer / Intro (Absolute beginner) I want to join the Empire

Welcome, but keep in mind the Alliance will come to call one day and you will shed many tears, sojoin the Alliance now. There is a reason we have no dedicated ships Yet.
An Alliance system is a free system:) Fly safe CMDR:)

All you'll find in the Empire space is gleaming metallic spaceports born from the blood and sweat of indentured servants.
Leave well alone is what I say.

A grade fsd and all other modules as D grade for minimal mass Downgrade the D modules 1 step Down if you can thus futher range dump all internal modules and fit 1 fuel scoop on it and dont buy the smallest fuel scoop its practical useless. and plot longest jump range not the economical 1 and the trip shud be lot faster and far les jumps. recomended fuel scoope 2D or if you can afford it 2A

Rationalize?

Those against Imperial Slavery are the ones engaging in silly amounts of rationalization. Claiming the high moral ground while legally codifying a system where those trapped under the thumb of crushing debt must remain under that thumb forever... the cognitive dissonance that must take place to hold such a view would be deafening!

I am relieved to hear you aren't allying yourself with the jack booted Federation, though. There is hope for you yet.
This thing "debt" of which you speak... It is an artifice. In a galaxy of effectively infinite resources, scarcity is a lie - THE lie upon which Federations and Empires are built.

So, I made it there! (Landed a 35k bounty)

Anyways. For now I guess I'll go bounty hunting. But is there a way to join the Imperial Navy? Or to do missions specifically for them?

Not really sure what you can do in this game, and doesn't really tell you.

Also unsure where to bounty hunt within this Liaedin. Dont' see a nav beacon, or anywhere hunt worthy.

Not it in the way I think you mean. You don't become a member and then go off with them flying sorties, etc. What's there is little more than what you already see on the Bullentin Board in a station: missions available from factions that are allied with the Empire. Once your rep with the Empire is high enough you'll see Empire Ascension missions, completions of which are likely to earn you a rank within the Empire. Some ranks, once reached, convey bonuses like permits to visit certain permit-only solar systems. At Baron you earn the privilege of being allowed to spend your cash on an Imperial Clipper.
