Hello Commanders,
I have taken part in my very 1st CG over at Kamadhenu which highlighted a bit of a pain in the backside for me doing the Palladium haulage.
I was getting Palladium one jump away which was great, and that jump was close enough for the system to appear on my left Navigation panel so could plot a course straight from there with no maps needed.
On the way back however, Kamadhenu was too far away to make it to the navigation list by about 1 ly having been crowded out by closer systems. This forced me to open the galaxy map on every trip back so I could plot the course from my bookmark.
Now this at face-value doesn't seem like too much bother, but when you are ferrying non-stop between systems ad-nauseoum , loading up the galaxy map over and over and over again in rapid succession, gets really old.
Ok so to help pilots doing the rapid short haul trade trips and reduce self-harming rates, I propose that any bookmarks that are within, oh I don't know, lets say 50 light years for starters, should appear on the left side navigation panel. Just by selecting the entry you plot a course without needing to open any maps (should your destination be crowded out of the list by closer systems) speeding things up and making it far less tedious.
Personally I think it's a great idea.
Alternatively, allow us to mark just two systems on the galaxy map and have them appear on the Nav panel until removed, just anything to easily navigate between two systems.
What do you think?
