Access to Hera Tani but not Etienne Dorn?

Basically as title said; In Colonia I have pretty much all engineers unlocked except Etienne Dorn. AFAIK I get an invitation via Liz Ryder, which also sends the invite to Hera Tani. I got the latter (and Broo Tarquin) but not the former. Anyone knows if this is a bug or if I should catch a ride back to the bubble and fix something?

Do you have the required Trade rank? Dealer or higher.

Liz lets you know about Etienne, but you have to have the right rank to get the invite.

Triple Elite. And he is simply missing from my engineers panel; as if Liz didn't trigger it.

This is moot if you got to G5 with Liz, but the only thing I can figure (outside of a bug) is the trigger for her to open up invites to others is not static, and maybe you hit it for Hera Tani but more rolls would be required before you hit it for Dorn.

You need to be at least G3 with Liz to get the invite for Dorn.

That is the thing; I rolled until I got the invite for Hera, then bailed. IIRC Etienne didn't even exist back then. So I cant make up my mind if this is just a bug, or if someone at FD really, really really loves putting senseless RNG in literally every possible nook and cranny of this game's design. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, not gonna bother contacting Support during the holiday season. Just curious if anyone knows for sure. Might just hop on a carrier and verify it myself. But before carriers there was zero chance of me jumping tens of thousands LY back and forth to check if this was a bug... :p

I think this is the answer. You probably need to go back and make at least one roll at Liz's after Dorn was introduced to trigger the invite.

It does sound like a bug Ian.
Try to hitch a ride back, and bump it. It's probably quicker than trying to get it fixed by support this time of year. Bit of a huge pita though :(

Yeah its a load of crap that an engineer in colonia is locked by an engineer in the bubble. Load of crap.
