Last night I decided to dust of my free Epic CMDR. When I got it I had planned to use it as long time explorer, my plan was a trip to beagle point (which I didn't make with my bubble main) via Colonia and Sag A* (which both I had visited with my main before). As plans usually go, my CDMR sat out in the black about 7000 ly from Colonia, waiting for me for the last 8 months, because I was busy with other stuff. Before departing I made enough money to get a decent ship, engineered my FSD and unlocked the FSD booster. For that I got Grade 5 access to Elvira Martuuk. I remember I also gave the one Meta Alloy to Felicity Farseer. I had no need for other engineers, so I didn't bother with any unlocking.
What I really cannot remember is dealing in any black markets, let alone paying 500.000 credits to The Dweller... and my EDSM flight log doesn't show a visit to Wyrd. Yet out of the blue, about two hours into my play session right after completing a jump I got the message that I now had access to the dweller. The "Engineers" section in the right hand panel also clearly states that I fulfilled the requirements.
What's happening? Anyone experienced something similar before? Should I worry that my frontier data is messed up? Should I file a ticket or take it as a freebie?
Oh, and this was in Odyssey. Yes, I bought it for my Epic CMDR yesterday. Because reasons. I blame the pretty pictures in yesterday's @Bigmaec 's thread. And it was on sale. I made a detour to Gandharvi and bought two suits. And the cowboy outfit
. I have to say, atmospheric planets are really pretty, much more so nearer to the center of the galaxy. But boy, the VR performance is atrocious even out there .
