Accidentally purchase in GBP instead of USD, does it matter?

I am canadian and accidentally purchased the game in GBP instead of USD. I ended up paying a little extra but thats not a problem. i am wondering if the game is global or did i just pick up the European version? i want to play on north american servers and with my canadian friends.

It also means you have helped the UK economy rather than the US, which is no bad thing, and our notes are prettier than theirs

Its so that our hard of sight members of the public can tell the different denominations by size, and colour.

Assuming it's a Canadian credit card you're gonna get charged a foreign currency transaction fee from your credit card supplier regardless so the only difference is if you'd get a better currency exchange rate for US$ than GBP (probably not). If it's a US credit card you just cost yourself a bit for the currency exchange fee.
