Accidentally sold my Clipper ='(

You have no idea how much time I spent to earn the credits to buy that ship in the time period the Community Goal allowed us to buy it without achieving the required rank.

And when I had JUST enough to buy it, I kept it stored while I tried earning some credits to afford the insurance/buyback.

And today I had enough money to fly it, so I decided to move it to a different station in another system 100 ly away. I moved my smallest ship first (Imperial Eagle) then bought a Cobra to fly back to the origin system. At the origin system I wanted to sell the Cobra, but it wouldn't let me. I selected Imperial Clipper in the Shipyard but in my mind was "sell sell sell" so I accidentally selected "sell that ship" instead of "switch into that ship then sell current ship".

I wish it had said in the confirmation screen "You are inside a Cobra and you are about to sell the stored IMPERIAL CLIPPER. Confirm?" instead of "You are about to sell your stored ship, confirm?".. but I guess I just misread the question. Gosh what a sad day today.. now I have 30 mil credits and an Imperial Eagle and I have lost the motivation to fly..

Charity missions to get your rank to Baron at Liabeze would do it. It's not hard to reach Baron. It gets exceptionally more grindy beyond that to King

lol, if you teach me how to rank (I'm still a cadet even after months) I'll probably do it. I don't even see how to rank up. All this time I've only ben collecting bounty in resoruce extraction sites.

You lost 2 million. It surely hurts, but no need to be depressed. Buy your Clipper back. You'll make that up in her in an hour of trading. :)

Unfortunately the ranking system is terrible right now. It involves going to Aymifa or Liabeze and sitting in station relogging and paying charity missions to gain military ranks. You could do it through normal missions but it will take longer. Others have said that long range smuggling for empire factions substantially boosts rank. There are various other threads on this.

Yeah I did.. If only I had paid more attention when I tried to switch into that ship. Spent almost two weeks in resource sites to earn enough money to afford the buyback for the Clipper so that I won't lose it.. but I lost it anyway..

I got my Clipper parked up somewhere as well.

I have actually come close to doing the same as you before, but since flying an Anaconda you stand to lose 14-16 million in sale cost, so I'm super careful now.

Do you have the rank for a Courier? It's a brilliant ship, put it this way I've flown everything, maxed military ranks, triple elite with all system permits and I keep coming back to the Courier. It will take the edge off your trip to Liabeze as well with its 30ly jump range.

When you have storage ships full of prismatic shield gens and imperial hammers and you're no longer pledged you have to be really careful :)

I heard changing the modules over to different ships is a bit risky sometimes, people removing the modules, swapping ships and it's gone from outfitting.

Luckily not had that problem so far. I was really hoping the Corvette would have a class 8 compartment. I've got a 220 mil prismatic class 8 gathering dust now.

Fair point perhaps this unfortunate one should aim for the imperial eagle? I've heard that the basking amenities are acceptable for short periods of time.

I ALMOST sold my Diamondback today. A little while back I bought a Fed Assault Ship and today decided to sell it. First, I wanted to sell all the modules to get as much of my money back as possible. So I did that, went back to the shipyard, and almost chose to sell my Diamondback with all the upgraded modules. Luckily I caught myself, got back into the DBX, and sold the assault ship. Close one.
