Today I decided to give powerplay a try. I moved to an anarchy system and killed some ships of Edmund Mahon at a nav beacon. I received some powerplay bonds and was quite happy. Then I moved across the territory of Mahon to get to my home base and stopped at a nav beacon again. Immediately ships of Mahon attacked me. I defended myself and killed them all (10 ships). A powerplay bounty was placed on my head, but I wasn’t too worried, because it is ‘just’ a powerplay and not a normal bounty. I went to my home base and started bounty hunting at a compromised nav beacon. Something happened and I got 400 Cr bounty on my head. So I moved to an interstellar factor to pay it off, because it is my home system and quite important for me.
Unfortunately, I can’t pay off my bounty, because I am notoriety level 10 now. I have two questions:
a) Do I really have to play 20 hours before I can pay off the local bounty of my home system? That would be sad, because that is around two weeks of playing for me.
b) Is this how powerplay works? I am outside of my powers influence area and I get attacked by ships and if I defend myself that counts as murder? If that is the case, I will quit powerplay immediately.
