Most of the smaller ships don't seem to have any facilities that you'd need for long travel (bathroom, 'kitchen'), so I am wondering, in Universe, do you usually get everywhere in a short enough time to not need such?

In the Mostly Harmless book the protagonist was traveling for three month at one time, that wouldn't work with a sidey or other small ships would it? Unless you make a stop at a station every half a day or so?

Damn imagine if you had gastro. You wouldn't be able to leave space dock. No way could you approach a carrier as an explorer

We don't really know this do we? We have only seen the cockpit so far and not the rest of the interiors. I actually remember a Dev writing somewhere that facilities like this was already blocked out inside the all of the ships even if no real work has been done to them yet. The exception is of course the bigger ships that will have more detailed damage models in the final game...these will probably be more detailed on the inside since we will be able to blow holes in them and see the interiors that way...

I wonder if they plan on making it possible to make small repairs to the ship from the interior of the ship? Possibly not as it's currently a couple of clicks to get it done in station.

Same as long range spy planes etc I'd guess - a little pipe you attach to the old chap.

In the mean time, I think it's possible that the suit that you wear inside your ship probably helps with this. Allowing you to have a call of nature inside the suit, have it process and clean it for drinking later via the helmet you're wearing.

There's accommodations on Siddy, early concept pics have it (including WC). According to artists they are also quite detailed atm (of course not at fine tuning level).

The Sidewinder's quite a large ship when you see it to scale. Should have no problem fitting sleeping/eating/pooping compartments. Hopefully separately...
