Account migration, XBO to PS4?

A bit beside the point, but i would like to see Frontier giving a discounted price for buying other platform version if you already own one for example for PC.
I have two PC accounts, i should get PS4 version for free....
(that is, if i would ever wander away from the master race)

I'm quite happy to pay again if it means I can use my existing account, heck, I'd even pay for a transfer fee........
I'd really like to take advantage of the Pro's increased power, but not so much that I'd be happy with starting a new commander from scratch.
I am not that hopefully though, I believe it's not possible to migrate (or use) between PC and console currently, but I just wondered if it would be easier for Frontier to do it between consoles.

You can transfer accounts between PC and Xbox.
Although all that happens is that the CR value of your ships is applied to the transferred accountb and your original account is reset to zero.
I would assume that the same will work on PS4.
Although I think Sony require evidence of teh destruction of the Xbox once you have transferred, as they dont want you to swap back! ;-)

So not rank progress or anything else?, esshh, that's harsh!.
As for destruction, that wouldn't be an issue, do they specify any particular method?

It depends whether FDev want the Sony platform to be fresh or they want players already with billions of credits. As a new player on PS4 I am not to sure I'd like to be way behind the drag curve with people just insta transferring in but can understand players desire to transfer. Have you tried emailing support?
Its not such a big deal Xbox to PC as the PC universe is already established.
At of the end of the day it won't be level playing field for long but better to be just the money than all the account data and engineers etc etc. If not the rest of us PS4 lambs might be getting murdered in the starter systems chugging around in sidewinders on day one by engineered FDLs and the like.

As an xbone player ye would know that only other xbone players can enter yer instance...so all the ps4 players start on the same level? PC and boners cant get at ye and the only interaction is through the bgs.
I thought about this when I migrated from pc to consoles but decided to simple keep two separate accounts...works fer me and means I get the best of both ^

Well it depends if FDev let people transfer either CMDRs (unlikely?) or just assets (more likely). Would still allow people to buy powerful ships to seal club me either way.
I briefly considered moving to PS4 as the Mrs has a PS4 PRO.
Just purely for the fact that trying to PVP with a controller TV set up is not ideal with fixed. I can't seem to hit a damn thing unless it's at least FAS size.
Then I realised I'd miss using voice commands and the thought of having to start over and that'd be a hell of slog for the platinum trophy!
I'll stick with PC and my plasma Vulture.
I've also 'only' got 50% Fed rank to earn for the Vette.
