Accuracy of the buildings of the JP 1993 question

Hi Guys,
First of all thanks and congrats for the awesome job you're doing on the game.
Quick question, I saw you have made a beautiful visitor center, but the back is never seen in the film.
Did you built it from actual blue prints given by universal or amblin or you just made it looked cool ( or looked at some fan version to get inspiration).
It seems you got base model from ILM for the JW era dino models (can you confirm?) so maybe they helped you giving you bluprints for the buildings too?
Thanks
J.

I hope, unrealistically, that they got hold of the concept art for the first movie and/or talked with the prop artists.

the back of the visitor center has a helipad because in game it functions as an expedition center, fossil center and research center. for me, there should be a helipad to help sell the idea that it's an all-in-one building. :)

to answer his question if the building's design is based off of official JP illustrations or blueprints, i have no idea. but might be cool it that were the case hehe

From what I understand is there was no back to the Visitor Center in the movie. All you saw was the front and then a few inside shots that obviously filmed on stages and separate scenes.

I am sure Frontier would take artistic liberty to fill in what is missing.

Aesthetically speaking, the majority of the buildings and some parts of the map itself are very accurate to their on-screen counterparts from the first three movies. The only major discrepancy in my opinion is the Park Tour building, in the movie I believe it was part of the Visitor Center.

Was it? I don't remember being a dedicated Park Tour building

For the film they never designed the whole building as the never needed it. There was also a massive tree behind the facade which is what you can see coming over the roof.

There is an image of the visitor center in the film from the top down but that isn't even correct to the film's final layout. I've studied the building for years and to be honest the only bit they really added was the helipad due to game play reason. The outside seating for the cafe is on the right rear of the building as can be seen in the film and the large semi circle sticking out from the rear left is where the control room, genetics lab and theatre is located. Probably wouldn't have had the rows of windows along it as that doesn't line up with the rooms inside but it makes it more interesting to look at.

The helipad itself seems to replace where the kitchen would roughly be and also the rear stairway from the control room.

That's correct too. It doesn't make sense really as no roads seem to lead to it but there are supposed to be garage doors in the side behind the doorways either side the large windows. It leads to a garage that is underneath the center.
