Achenar permit

Apologies in advance because I know this has been talked about a bit before, but I can't quite find the answer.

The fact is I have an Achenar permit, but I do not have any ranking with the Empire, nor have I undertaken any CGs that may have given it to me.

I joined as a kickstarter founder and as such have a Sol and Founders world permit, but I didn't get an Achenar permit at that point. It seems to have just appeared one day without reason. Has this happened to anyone else, or am I just missing the reason I've been given it?

Best answer is to avoid the stigma of going to the slave capital. Then you can relax and ignore the unwanted gift!

It's a trap. If you go to Achenar, they will surely kidnap you and sell as a "companion" slave. Those stories about them treating slaves well? All lies!

Hello fellow founder!
When the emperor changed a couple of years ago, all players were given the permit so that we could go and watch the parade.

A galnet piece about it here

Empire ships were also rank unlocked for the duration, from what I can remember.

IIRC, I got it doing some CG long time ago and I'm pretty sure it was "for a limited time only - deal", but I still have it.

Ahem.....

I was once an Imperial "slave" (character backstory, role with it). I had been foolish enough to get myself into debt through some....interesting.....life choices. Needless to say, the day the authorities came to get me to pay up, was the luckiest thing to ever happen to me.

I payed off my debt, was taught valuable life lessons, and as a reward for my hard work in the trade, my master at the time gave me a free sidewinder as a gift. As one can imagine, I wasn't one to waste a second chance, and using my new found knowledge, I set about making sure I was never in debt again, so, here I am today.

Then people like you come along and pretend to know what the trade is like, it's disgraceful to someone like me who lived through it, and knows what you spew is lies and propaganda. I hope wherever you come from, burns in hell!

Aha, that makes sense, but it clearly wasn’t a temporary permit though as I still have it! Does that mean anyone who was playing at that time now has one?

You see that Clipper? You know WHY it's called "Arissa's Mistake"?
I don't got no stinking Empire rank - I got that thing when Arissa held a CG to have her new palace curtained with the skins of a million slaves for her coronation. I don't trade slaves. But you do. And when it hit tier 5 she let everyone buy a Clipper at a discount and without rank. I don't think she intended us in the Alliance to get access without contributing to the CG. But her mistake - hence the name.

I'm pretty sure that the permit wasn't revoked (whether by design or accident), so everyone playing at that time will still have it.
I know this is how I received mine and I've still got it, so assume its the same for everyone else.

My biggest regret about the whole incident was I'd just bought my python the week before, and didn't have the funds to take advantage of the rank unrestricted & cheap imp ships.

You can cash your permit in at Hutton for a million Credits!
