Am I blind, or how is Winters acquiring HIP 25461 when the nearest system is ~100 Ly away?

2nd screenshot: no sign of orange anywhere near HIP 25461.

Winters used to be present in the area due to a PP1 sphere that transitioned (Lei Kax), which was majestically exterminated very early in PP2. These are acquisition merits from back then... so it seems they stay there even when the supporting system is gone.

Yes, I've seen a couple of earlier examples of this as well. For a particularly slow acquisition (or an otherwise uncontested one) it might be possible to regain a supporting position and resume the capture.
