Activists won't go away, any advice?

Hello! Sorry for any spelling mistakes in advance.

I'm really enjoying Planet Zoo and have now built my first Sandbox Zoo. I have made a habitat for tortoises and my tortoise is on 94% welfare right now, but the activists just won't go away.
The tortoise was really stressed before so I had deactivated animals' needs temporary, then the activists came and now they won't leave my zoo.
I like playing Planet Zoo because I love watching my animals in their habitats and those shouts just bother me so much. Anyone can help? :(

Iirc, disabling animal needs in sandbox doesn't actually work. So the animal may appear to have 94% welfare, but behind the scenes it might be really low, attracting protestors. To get rid of them you may have to enable animal needs and take care of them for the people to go away.

Try putting the animal they're protesting for in the trade center and then back in its habitat, that worked for me and when welfare was disabled the protestors didn't show up again.

The "disable welfare" function seems buggy. At the moment for a lot of players it only seems to work as a cosmetic 'veil' over the animal's needs. The animal's needs still decay, you just don't see them. Which is why protestors are still showing up for a lot of players.
