Activity On Steam db

That means that they must already have the next DLC planned by the time the last one come out. The steam activity could also have been the bug fixes after Vintage. But now, the activity has to be for a future update and DLC. What happens is that the team decides on the next theme to work on after a DLC is released. And they don’t say what they are working on until a week before release.

They most likely had outlined all DLC planned about a year in advance. They probably spent last summer researching the rides and scenery planned for the Studios, Vintage, and whatever's coming next. By last year's anniversary release, work on the first 2018 DLC release may have been well underway...

I really hope Frontier have listened to the community and include a chair lift / cable cars. I'd be very happy to pay extra for that [happy].
This type of transport is really needed in larger parks, especially those with hills.

It's in final does that mean we are going to hear something soon about the fall DLC?

That could also mean that we hear something in 2 weeks. When it said final trunk in the past, that usually meant they were in the finals,but it still needed a week or so till release. Is there already a new dlc registered?

Ok, great for the 3D modelers, but are we still getting a DLC in October?

From the Support FAQ;
We currently have nothing to announce regarding future content packs in Planet Coaster. Please keep your eyes peeled on our forums, social channels, and newsletter for the latest information about the game.

Over the last year there was a new DLC roughly every 3 months. Half October marks the end of the 3 months since the Vintage Pack DLC... ;)

So there are people who know what is coming soon but they have sworn not to leak anything before the time? Well, they did leak about the tool but nothing about the next DLC.

What leak? This is just an announcement as always.

Reading between the line it appears that there is another DLC/expansion coming in the meantime, which will most likely be announced as always 1-2 weeks before release.

They wanted to give people a heads up about the kit because there are files related to the kit in the next release. But, the kit could be December for all I know.

The 2 year release anniversary is mid-Nov, perhaps then, I still think we'll get a DLC before then too, early Oct would be nice.

They have said in the Toolkit FAQ that there is no announcement of any DLC or plans for future ones... and that the Thememaker files will appear "in the next update" but the tool won't be available until a "future update" (presumably the anniversary one), which suggests that there is an update imminent.

So.. I THINK the introduction of the toolkit may be putting an end to content related DLCs in favour of game changing ones or larger expansions instead. It seems that the introduction of the toolkit is to place the content creating bit in the hands of the players as we can, en-mass churn out new content much quicker than they can, so they can focus on the core game, rides or coasters; rather than lovely, shiny new pieces.

I hope we do get one more DLC before the toolkit. Most likely October, but then the anniversary is November, we get two releases a month apart? Yes, with the kit we can now create triggerable, animated items such as more spooky items. But, I want to also see more rides, which is what the kit will be unable to make. So, we still need more ride releases from Frontier. Like a chairlift, larger carousel, walking path for haunted houses (like the huntsman track but people walk on it) and more flats.
