Actually, not that bad in VR if you don't want to do FPS combat.

Spent the day traipsing around doing bio scans and I have to say with the combination of the VR vanity cam and my bindings on my Index controllers using OpenVR2Key, I'm easily switching between my hotas and the controllers. Guns are a definite no. I find that switching between the burqa and vanity is not bad, as I've mapped it to one of the buttons on my right controller so I can use terminals, interact with NPCs and use the arc cutter. I can keep my right Index controller on my hand and deftly use the mouse to move my focus point, pressing the trigger, etc.

It's a sad state of affairs that we need to come up with this compromise but the views in VR on planet, on foot are well worth it. There is hope that this will improve with the developers moving towards a NMS type interface - the hand menus are brilliant and if Odyssey implemented this scheme it would be such a shot in the arm for them, considering the abhorrent press they've been getting.

Try it out. Let me know what you think.
