Actually, Odyssey is amazing!

I have changed my mind - this DLC is amazing and adds so much depth and role playing potential.

Yes there are some performance issues they should fix
Yes there are one too many Orange Sidewinder / Mauve Adder crashes
Yes some of the planet generation is lacking at times
Yes there is still grind if you just care about min-maxing

But

The immersion I feel doing various missions at a settlement is better than I had ever hoped for.
The different ways of doing these quests is entirely up to you and is left to your imagination
When the planet generation works, IT REALLY works and I find myself sitting in awe at some of the visuals
The FPS aspect is actually fine for the most part - however I typically do not engage in direct combat if I can help it and prefer the stealthy route where I assassinate the NPS soldiers while their shields are down - pretty much 1-shot-head-shot with the sniper rifle just feels great.
The feeling of accomplishment is there if you actually role play the game

Finally while we did not get ship interiors, we got APEX - man what a stroke of genius this was - FDev should be thanked for this simple, but great innovation.

Definitely worth the money and the patches so far have made a huge difference - I actually took a hiatus from the game for a year and with Odyssey I am finding myself dreaming about the game and wanting to get back out there at every spare moment I can find.

See you in the black CMDR's

Odyssey is amazing!

Odyssey is amazing in the same way that underbaked cake is amazing. I mean, it's not really cake yet but it's sweet and better than nothing and if I'm feeling particularly unpicky I'll still eat it even though I'll probably start to feel queasy after awhile...

...and possibly get salmonella.
I'm incredibly irritated at this cake right now, and the situation--whatever caused it--that made FDev think they had to take it out of the oven early.

... But, it's back in the oven and I'm forced to think it'll be a pretty decent cake when it's done baking.

Odyssey is great if you have a very powerful computer and play the game like a Screensaver.
The rest of the beautiful is not contained in the Odyssey, but in your beautiful imagination. I am glad that you have it so bright and impressive, but I have to slightly open your eyelids. DLC is empty, clumsy and aimless. Graphics are better for a few, and worse for most. Since you have to twist the settings to a minimum, in order to get 30 fps in the settlements. Was it worth sacrificing 70% of the player base to satisfy 30%? Let the money speak.
