Actually, pew-pew is a bit of a lark!

Before today I had only ever fired my weapons in a RES, letting the cops do all the hard work. But I have recently wiped my save and am back in a sidewinder in open play.

I was delivering data this morning when I was interdicted, but instead of running away as usual I thought I'd punch the cheeky so and so in the gipper. Came out of supercruise to be faced with an NPC Adder upon which I unleashed the full fury of my sidey's pulse lasers. Took me a minute or two (and remembering about pip management), but eventually he was a rapidly expanding ball of fiery atoms. Woot!

Got back into supercruise and was immediately interdicted again, this time by an NPC Eagle. He only lasted 30 seconds or so until he met the same fate as his erstwhile colleague.

I spent the rest of my session eagerly looking for interdictors, but alas, the news of a vicious and lethal sidewinder in the vicinity must have scared the pirates off!

I reckon that is one of the best 5 minutes I've had in the game, and I'll try a little more pew-pew I believe.

Hibachi.

Cool, but anything NPC is just for babies. PvP Piracy is the apex game. (Said the recently converted PvP Piracy player)

Whatever is fun for each individual, man.

Just a polite heads up: the best way to switch people off of PvP is to tell them that everything else is for "babies". A simple, "give PvP a try sometime if you like pew pew." is sufficient :)

Fighting NPCs can be plenty fun. To each his own.

Glad you found something new to enjoy about the game, OP :)

I think Hercules was being tongue in cheek there, no offence taken by me at least.

Fact is, I was interdicted by NPCs so that's who I fought. If it was players, I'd have had a crack at them as well. Being in a Startwinder means I have nothing to lose, right?

The pew pew of this game has convinced me over the last two years to purchase 20x ship skins, 2x HOTAS setups, a brand new monitor, a new keyboard, keypad and mouse, a rather high end set of headphones and an EDTracker Pro...that I can think of off the top of my head. Yeah OP, I rather like the pew pew, too. Try the dakka dakka and the phroom phroom next if you want a real thrill:)

Not to mention, OP, you start getting some good supplemental bounty income when you actually stop to take out interdictors!

Brilliant attitude. Go get it modded up across the board with all G1 or G2 mods and head to a CG and see what kind of trouble you can stir up. Get killed? Just come out of the station swinging, go back to SC and look up your opponent and harass the heck out of them with constant interdictions, hit and run tactics, submitting to interdictions and then immediately waking out; the universe is yours my friend--go claim it!

OP there is a Sidewinder Appreciation Society I think it is called. You should look them up. There are also a few PvP groups that do smaller ships and the fight is not to the death. Perhaps someone more in the know than me could direct you their way.

To add to this I highly recommend the "Rmmm-shapow, Rmmm-shapow!" of Railguns and the "Drommpf!" of Plasmas. Good for the soul :D

Harsh.
It's for teenagers!

Heh, I thought they were the griefers? :p

I don't know. Too many groups here. I don't even know who's who anymore!

New groups get seemingly invented every day.
We've got snowflakes now. Heck if i know what they are.... Except the weather of of course. I'm not that stupid. :p
