Actually Whats is the Door and walls used for in planet zoo ???

zoo guest and zoo keeper can walk thru walls as if there are no walls....

same goes for the door ??? it is non fuctional as well... i hope planet zoo staff/crew/team can make the door and walls to work perfectly or normally ...

is quite annoying when you make a passageways or tunnel only for zookeeper and etc , but they choose to walk shortcut and cut thru walls and door ...

it defeat my purpose of me making them STAFF buildings or Underground Staff area for them

Please no, that would ruin sooo many builds and make performance even worse. If you don't want them to use short cuts simply make sure you don't create them. When you build something put the paths down and add the walls with doors on them over that path, then they'll walk through the doors and nowhere else.

What they could do is add the curbs we had in PC already (still wondering why we didn't get them in PZ as well) so we can control the guest flow and walkable area better.

I'm on the "no-no-side" as well! If guests walk through walls, it is your own fault. Guests keep to pathways. If you lay a guestpath through a wall, then you can expect them to walk through. Build a door there. They are not able to open the door, as there is no animation for it, but you could imagine, they did. Or you block them with bins, if you like.

But a gueststopper other than the bins would come in handy.

They already are working "perfectly" and "normally". This isn't a bug you are experiencing, this is how these items are designed to work. The doors are strictly decorative, there for you to create the illusion of a door rather than an actual door.

As others have said, the solution is to not build paths through walls if you don't want to see the game characters clipping through them. The design choice is entirely your own.

I would just put bins on the other side (or wherever you dont want guests to go) to stop them. I usually just leave it... I don't really use door walls for that purpose.

On the subject of doors tho, I feel that most of the doors don't cover the opening enough

They aren't supposed to. As Swjosdotschka says, peeps can clip through any of the building pieces, so the doorway piece is largely superfluous. I don't know for sure but I'd say it was designed for the habitat gates.

It's just a scenery object you are supposed to plop on a normal wall.

[...], so the doorway piece is largely superfluous. [...]

Definitely NOT! I use them very often: in staffbuilding-covers, where they fit perfectly and over habitat gates, where they fit perfectly, too.
Just because you don't know what to do with some things, doesn't automaticly mean they are superfluous.

That's what I said? I'm talking about the wall pieces with the doorway cut into them.

Well that's just plain rude. I don't see why you would feel the need to say something like that.

That's true, but someone in another thread stated, that you are not supposed to use the pieces with the door opening for doors :D Since guests clip through anyway, you use the normal wall pieces. The door frame pieces are for open buildings and the gates.
I just use doors so that it looks nice. Otherwise, I find it looks a bit naked.

I'm sorry if I seemed to be rude. It wasn't meant to be rude.
But if somebody says, something is superfluous, just because he or she doesn't know what to do with it, I'm going to contradict it. Because it is not superfluous. I like this piece and others do so, too.
Nothing personal. Just the flat thing, that it is not superfluous.

The rude part was assuming I didn't know what to do with it. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that the piece in question fits over the facility doorways - the assumption you made was that I was somehow mentally incapable of understanding that point, when in fact (as should have been painfully obvious) I had simply forgotten that use for it. So of course I had no choice but to suppose you were being deliberately rude, perhaps because of some imagined slight.

There's no need to get defensive over a single building piece in the game - me describing it as "superfluous" isn't an attack on you or anyone else, it's just an adjective.

Ok, let's leave it there, because I don't get the possible or not possible underlying meanings of all that. Let's say, it was a misunderstanding on both sides because of my insufficient knowledge of the english tongue. I assumed, you voted for removing this building piece and tried to tell you that I don't agree.
