Ad signs outside of the slot...

Kind of a nothing question but I was curious.
Did a hotdog takeoff out of a station and narrowly missed one of the advertisement signs that are outside some station traffic slots.

Was just wondering - can you hit them? Do they show damage or do you lose some shields?

At the risk of getting attacked by station security (or the station itself) I have decided not to experiment.

You can hit the pylons, not the signs as they seem to be holographic. Incidentally, at Lavecon frontier mentioned adding more variety to the signs.

You wont annoy the station by bashing into it, but it may hurt your ship ;)

Unless something has changed recently hitting the advertising satellites is just like hitting a nav beacon. Which equals PAIN.

You won't make the station mad but if you're going fast enough you might see the insurance screen.

They are still missing the one above the pad, the one that flashes up just before you launch, which says:

"Do you want Limpets with that?"

I think it is about time the Fuel Rats had some space there, every now and then. They must have the funds by now.

Unfortunately Fuel Rats can't even afford to get "Search and Rescue" coastguard skins that NPC rescue ships get.

I would like it if rare commodities were advertised, like an ad for Lavian Brandy or Sothis Gold. Or even basic commodities, I'm curious as to what the "Modular Terminal" add looks like.

What I really wish they did with those "holograms" though is flight guidance lights, like a green path that if you follow you won't be fined/destroyed by the station if some idiot decides their hauler has right of way and exits on his red side.

The glowing signs are holographic and insubstantial.
The projectors that create the signs are another matter.
And by matter I mean the kind of matter that destroyed my first Anaconda when I smashed into one boosting out of the station.
