Add a bartender to Odyssey engineers' bases

Since the tools for keeping track of the materials you need for the blueprints you want are non-existent, and most of the mission grind is focussed on data and goods, it would at least be nice to be able to trade for the desired assets on-site rather than having to schlep to the nearest station and back. For that matter, why should I have to schlep to another station to upgrade my suits and weapons? The fact that engineers' bases don't include these services seems completely illogical both from a lore and a gameplay perspective.
 
Or they could've just avoided requiring a full bar area for materials trade by not having the bartender as a material trader. Have a separate more appropriate trader NPC for materials and keep the bartender for serving drinks. I can't think of a logical lore related reason as to why these bartenders are somehow the face of the galactic-wide trade of valuable resources. As far as I'm concerned, common sense in the game's lore and universe ended years ago. Why am I even surprised by this design choice?
