Add a possibilty to put full 4 pips to either SYS, ENG or WEP

Just made an account to post this : ) Anyway, to the point!

At the moment you can assign one pip to any of the three capacitors, and half or a full pip is reduced from other systems/system to compensate. Works ok and with bindings to face buttons (on Xbox One) you can do it pretty fast. But in heat of a battle every split second counts. So what i would really like to see is a bindable key to set 4 pips to any of the capacitors with just one press and pips reduced from other capacitors.

At the moment i'm flying Fer-de-Lance and as with many ships also with it pip matter A LOT. Consider the following situation: tailing an Anaconda, full pips to weapons and two to engines. Anaconda boosts and reverse turns on me and i'm looking at the business end of his guns and need to relocate quickly while under fire. To do that i want full pips to SYS and two to enginess. To accomplish that i need to press ENG twice and then SYS four times, six key presses in total. Or reset, press ENG once and SYS three times, meaning 5 key presses. With key for 4 pips i could press ENG once and SYS once! Which can be done with one slide of a finger in a tiny fraction compared to the situation at the moment.

TL;DR: Give us a possibility to set 4 pips the desired capacitor.

That would require having a profile system for the power distributor, and while others support that, I'm not sure if fdev or the players at large do.

But +1 rep anyways

I've tried this on PC using macros, but felt that since you also probably want to retain access to other pip combinations it gets overly complicated. Also not sure if an xbox controller has enough spare button combinations to accomplish it?

To my understanding it would not require a profile system. It could, for example, be implemented under the hood by executing the button press four times in the code with a single physical press. That would achieve what i had in mind with really minimal changes in the code.

With this functionality you could only have combinations of 4, 2, 0 pips.

But having the current functions and also the one i'm suggesting would not remove any flexibility for other pip profiles because you would still be able the to use the current, "one press, one pip" keys if you chose to. Xbox controller is not an issue either because i would just bind my face buttons to those "full 4 keys" instead of the current ones and with a modifier could use the current functions. Also the number of combinations on any controller is sufficient due to the possibility to combine even 3 keys in one function.

So having these both in the controll options is what i had in mind. You could either bind the "one press, on pip" functions or "one press, 4 pips", or maybe even both for full controll AND for the fastest response.

Wanted this for a long time (and still do!), or some variation. Customizable pre-sets for the pips. Or like the press and hold function (contextual) we have now might work. Hold right on the d-pad, instead of pressing once, and you get 4 pips in wep and 2 in sys or whatever. Something, anything would be great, because my pip management is atrocious lol. The HOTAS has helped a bit, and a elite friend has a elite controller with the pips on the paddles which probably works pretty well.
