Add addition "start" options to the Frontier store.

Some players may be aware that certain pledge levels during the Kickstarter were offered additional start options beyond those that most players see when the clear their game save or purchase a second account. Among these were things like starting with a Cobra Mk III instead of a Sidewinder or starting in Imperial Space rather than at LHS 3447.

I'd like to suggest adding additional start option as purchasable options in the Frontier Store ... not as a "pay to win" mechanic but to take some of the "pain" out of starting over from scratch (something that I've experienced as the owner of three game accounts).

First among these option that I'd like to suggest is an "Elite: Dangerous Colonia Edition" which would allow a player who wants to play in Colonia to actually START at Jaques Station in the Colonia system. Give them 1,000 credits and a Sidewinder but spawn the new player in Colonia rather than LHS 3447.

Other possible start options:

Federation Citizen option which grants access to the Federal Assault Ship without a rank requirement. You'd still have to earn the credits to purchase the ship but you wouldn't have to gain the required Federation Rank to access it. A similar start option could exist for Imperial Citizens granting access to the Imperial Courier.

Express Exploration start option: You start with 1,000 credits but in a Diamondback Explorer equipped with a B-grade fuel scoop, Detailed Surface Scanner and an Advanced Discovery Scanner allowing players who want a game save dedicated to exploration to start exploring right away.

These additional start option would appeal mostly to players who already have an existing game account and thus they wouldn't have the "experience" of starting at LHS 3447 in just a basic Sidewinder "robbed" from them. It would simply make starting over from scratch more palatable.

Small victories and all. But this idea does not appeal to me, but it may to some. Potential problem is some people who buy the game for the first time will have no idea where and what Colonia is, and may select it by mistake.

Again might be a flavour palatable to some. But FD where very clear that the reason we don't get to have multiple pilots in the same account is because our actions should have consequences.

To be fair there not as outrageous as some suggestions I have seen on these forums. But I would say the rank structure for a faction to access its ships is important, and changing it with the addition of a pay system to make it easier to get the rewards is a slippery slope.

I don't think I'd go for Colonia, but being able to start in Federal, Imperial, or Alliance space would be nice and make more sense.
