Add Architect Colonization Ranks

The Architect is an important career so it should include ranks. This could be based on the number of built facilities. Update: after the feedback, I changed it to number of colonized star systems. For example:

Have you even done the math for the ranks you propose? I have.

A simple installation required me to haul around 6.6k tons of resources, according to my spreadsheets. That is around 130 million tons of resources for 20,000 facilities. Hauling that in a minmaxed 792 tonne Cutter takes over 166,000 trips. If we are generous and assume five minutes per trip - which is ludicrous to begin with - that's more than 830,000 minutes, or 13,800 hours, 578 days, 82 weeks, 20 months, or 1.5 years of consecutive gameplay to achieve Elite V. Why introduce a rank when it is, for all intents and purposes, unachievable?

And that is if you only build installations, which you can't, and assuming sourcing and delivering can be done in five minutes on average. Which also probably cannot be done.

And you guys have the gall to accuse Frontier of making things grindy. Some would call that hypocrisy.

Basing your rank structure about anything other than credits is a good start.
The rate of increase in the ranking quantities is out of step with the existing one that works properly. The requirement should double for each rank all the way up to Elite.

The Architect rank seems nice, except I don't think I am a fan of simply counting up the number of installations. Ground settlements vs Orbis? For anyone that is attracted to getting the rank of Architect V, it is an overall discouragement to building larger higher value facilities.

Personally I am tired of the existing ranking system concept. Maybe if recognition was given for each fully developed and 'successful' system... how that gets measured I really don't know.🤷‍♂️
 
For me it would be another rank that I would only partially do. Others might like it, but exactly how it is earned would be problematic.

I am not colonising atm, however once I do, it will probably be a 1 system and done thing, so I would never get Elite (unless its woefully unbalanced).
 
Cosmos' suggestion needs a Vagrant and Slum Lord rank. I honestly thought this rank proposal was a joke. lol The images in my head of the homeless decals are somewhat funny but also kinda disturbing. I don't pay any real attention to the ranks, so I'm indifferent really on any new ranks.

I think Helmut Grokenbergers' analogy of the proposed ranks is accurate. Idk, the current proposal just feels a bit strange, contrived.

I like the idea not so much for another rank to achieve but if it is introduced and isn't based on an incidental like credits FDev might look at saving themselves hassle by basing Exploration and Exobiology on something other than credits as well making balance passes much simpler.
