Add Faction rep for trade/bounty profit

With how useless the BB seems to be now a days this simple suggestion would alleviate a lot of headaches for many players including myself. Simply introduce a small increase to reputation for major factions when doing things like trade or bounty hunt in there systems. I have single handedly put some systems into a state of a major economic boom so much so that it was actually posted on there news feed in the station I was trading in. That doesn't warrant any kind of rep gain?

Or bounty hunting to the point where you've all but killed ever single last pirate in a system, making it damn near crime free doesn't warrant rep gains unless you took a job to do so? At least in my eyes it doesn't make much sense.

I just want a little compromise as it stands right now its either you grind for money and gain zero rep or you grind for rep and make next to no money. Even if the rate was 1million earn trade/hunting for 1% rep I would be more than happy.

It should already work that way. If my rep with the Alliance is Friendly 75%, and I do a rare trade run and hand in a few hundred thousand uncollected bounties, my rep will rise to Allied, about 85%, before sinking back to Friendly again after a few days away from Alliance space. I do not do any missions (don't even look at the BB) while I'm there.

I'm talking about Faction specific rep that goes towards promotions in that faction, as it stands right now unless you were already at the rank required to buy the Cutter/Corvette good luck getting the rep needed in a timely manner. I've probably spent 20-30 hours running data, smuggling, trading for pennies on the dollar just to get from 80% to Earl to 63% to Marquis. On top of that I've made maybe 15 million and 10 of it was from the community event in Arawere (spent like 4 hours bounty hunting), when I could have easily made 120-180mil in that same time span doing my regular trade runs.

Ok, I see, you are talking about naval ascension rep, then you are correct, you have to do missions for appropriately allied minor factions for that.

Yeah that's well established my suggestion is just adding a way to gain reputation through organic non-mission specific play. With the bulletin Board basically being completely broken it is incredibly difficult to gain reputation towards promotions and I have personally been playing today for almost 4 hours and my rank progression has gone up 2%. In my eyes that is absurd and overly time consuming.
