Have dev's thought about adding in game tools, such as Calculators, Web browser, Note pads, etc. These could even be tools that show up in the ships interface. In the Asp, i noticed there is a small LCD screen between the pilots legs, these tools could perhaps be on this small screen? Could even be some tools that are ship dependant, such as, Transport ships come with calculator, fighter ships don't come with one. This would add an incentive to fly tradeships to do trade runs.

I agree, as a bounty hunter, I see the Top 5 Bounties in the Galnet News Feed. This information is great as it shows the last known location for that wanted cmdr.
Being able to download this to my ship's Data Cartridge and have the information provided by Galnet display in my cockpit.
Even better would be to have my ship's computer AI alert me when I am within sensor range of a "Hotsheet" Bounty pilot.

An API is being talked about in the thread below which should give us the information needed to implement all kinds of useful tools. One idea being bounced around is whether it would be possible for external tools to feed back into the game screens such as the one you describe.
