All the utilities on the FAS are on the bottom of the ship. This makes point defence rather useless. One more utility hardpoint on the top would make it much better as a combat ship.
Make it a dedicated slot that only allows a point defence module. Otherwise the shields could end up being half-way decent. The paper thin shields are a feature of the FAS, which should be kept. However, hull-tanking is a tad difficult now that every NPC in a CZ is packing one or more missile launchers.
