Add parades to the park

A feature that would make parks even better is to allow the creation of parades and parade routes through the park. Obiviously the paths for where the parade route will go will need to be wider/larger but is something that could add to the entertainment for guests of the park. Disneyland is a good example of this as they have parades every day at the park.

With this you should be able to:
- Craft a parade route
- Design a parade (have different floats and characters, could even be extended with dlcs)
- Operate parade times
- Near the time parade is about to begin, guests start to stand along the parade route ready for the parade to begin
- Near parade time, barriers rise to stop guest wondering into parade route path (or have staff walking with the parade)
- Have back stage area where you can see the parade floats at all times and make changes at any time
- Set multiple different parades
- Create parades like a template which then you can then select when allocating a time to a parade theme
- All speakers near the parade route change to a set parade music.
- Have a new light set that can be attached to buildings which when the parade is about to start, rise into place and turn on. this can be seen at disneyland paris where the lights and speakers rise from the roofs of the building into place to light up the parade route and to ensure the parade route is covered by speakers.
 
This could be done as tracked ride (only guests don't actually 'ride').

Lay down the path to follow (the track). Decide which items shall be in the parade (a selection of say... Marching band, Entertainers (using the existing entertainers - Princess Amelie et al), parade extras (people firing confetti into the air), floats etc etc)

You could then use the trigger system to trigger halts, march, play etc etc. Then set the time the parade "goes off"

Would be a fantastic addition to PC [up]

I'm a hige fan of this idea! I searched if its possible to add parades into my park with lots of animatronics, new entertainers and so on! I would love a pack/dlc that is focused on this mechanic! With lots of wagons and options, firework shows...so many options! <3
 
It's a great idea. Globally, parks needs more life than a fireworks or water show with people who doesnt' care.

Parade will be a good beginning to add animation in our park but will be not enough.

This idea was already submitted in this forum but it is easy to see devs doesn't interract with us in this part of forum.

I remember I have say this to bo while a youtube live. She answered me it's not true and all threads were read by team.

Several months later, it's pretty clear, you can think have a role in what is added to planet coaster but roadmap is already decided.
You can continue to ask parades for example, I'm sure they never will be added because it's about game mechanism and not only a new ride or new skin to an existing ride.

When we see how game is already slow when your park size increase, it's perhaps a good idea to don't add new features (hello weather and seasonings).
 
The problem with parades (and fireworks and also things like the park emptying out at night) is the way time works in PC. PC has to have the calendar move fast enough that you can see months and years passing within a play session of a few real hours, but also needs peeps and rides to move slowly enough that the park seems to operate at 1:1 speed.

So, at 1:1 time acceleration.....
* 24 real hours = 1 day/night cycle in the game = 1 calendar MONTH of game time
* 1 calendar day of game time = about 12 minutes of real time

The upshot is that at 1:1 acceleration, while the peeps and rides seem to be moving at normal speed, they're effectively moving in extreme slow motion compared to the game's calendar. It might take a peep a calendar week just to walk to the back of a large park. So, a parade that moves at normal speed would actually take a number of calendar days, which just doesn't make sense.
 
I was thinking they'd program a dedicated path type where guests can still walk on it but when the parade time starts they are restricted to only walking on the sides of the path when the show begins.

then there would be a warehouse type shop stall where the parade floats will enter and exit out of.
