Hi, just registered to the forum so I could post this having recently gotten the game and the chance to try it out. I'd just like to present a few suggestions for improvements to the game. With that said lets get into it:
1. Can you please get rid of panicked running and screaming when I open emergency shelters because of a storm being predicted? Can they simply move a bit faster but not run or scream while looking behind them as if they're being chased? Maybe an announcement along the lines of "Due to a storm warning guests are advised to seek immediate shelter" when shelters are opened when a storm is announced? Same for emergency shelter being oppened during dinosaur breakout, have a different announcement and people run or move fast but not scream and look back unless there's a dinosaur in a certain radius. Makes no sense for people all over a large island like Sorna to scream because a Dilophosaur broke out in the Northern section.
2. Have it stop raining inside cars and spheres. As it is now when it rains the raindrops go trough the car as if you're outside and people in the car are glossy and wet. Maybe it could be changed and we could get a soothing sound of rain falling on a glass played while water drops splash on top. In essence have these two attractions feel like they're physical objects.
3. Allow us to have roads and attraction tracks intersect and even exist on top of each other. I see no reason why that would conflict. It gets really hard to design a park or gyro ride in a larger park with multiple exhibits while still connecting disparate buildings together. Also ride tracks should be able to intersect if not connect. Otherwise the ride route design gets very limited as you add more of them and are oftentimes forced to have a single ride for a single dino enclosure.
4. Have rangers and choppers react automatically to things that are close to them. Maybe a radius where they'll fulfill duties automatically like refilling feeders or dealing with Dino breakout if it happens. Doesn't need to be huge or cover the entire park but if there's a ranger station or chopper right next to a raptor or T-Rex enclosure that a storm just opened up they should act on their own and patch up the wall and neutralize the threat.
5. Allow us to schedule digs and automate extraction of DNA. For example let us automate fossil DNA extraction and mineral sale for as long as we have money to support it. If we run out of it that's on us, but oftentimes when Parks get stabilized money is not an issue and sending out expedition gets a bit tedious combined with need to extract DNA every 2 minutes. My idea for a solution is to select dig sites by priority, for example top 10, and expeditions will be sent to them automatically until all the DNA is completed then move on to the next one on the list. When that is over we could get a notification that expedition team requires new tasks or something along those lines.
6. Allow us to zone the park. Simply put allow us to exhibit dinosaurs on their own, akin to original jurassic park and have the gift shops, restaurants etc be separate and far away. As long as we have transportation the Guests should be OK with it. As it currently is it is highly encouraged to set these along the dinosaur enclosures limiting the efficient park design along a certain path.
7. Can you get rid of terrain leveling when placing buildings or water? Oftentimes certain sections of the park are raised or lowered and trying to place water results in a canyon, so to speak, or placing a building ends up with a huge and obvious raising of the ground to a certain level. Most obvious with Hatcheries for example. Also increase the impact of terrain raising or lowering, it's a bit hard to design enclosures with proper looking terrain with raise & lower terrain tools and much greater impact is achieved with level terrain.
8. Allow us to tell rangers or choppers to wait in a certain place for a while. It gets a bit frustrating when you have to monitor dinosaur release, tranquilization of said dinos, transportation, while also sending expeditions, extracting DNA, researching or dealing with a storm or sabotage with rangers. The chopper just leaves practically the moment you turn your eyes away, often leading to trouble. Also, rangers assigned to resupply feeders in dangerous enclosures shouldn't stick around, they should be evacuating immediately.
9. Give us a Dino filter by period and location, so that they are sorted by the era in which they existed in the hatchery, such as Dinosaurs of Jurassic or Cretacious, and Dinos of Europe, America, Africa etc.
10. Allow us to skip campaign if we so chose in Sandbox and simply have things unlocked or researcheable in Sandbox.
11. In the Hatchery gene modification when going over various skins have the dinosaur model change so we can see what it looks like with said skin applied to it.
12. Have the population tolerance of dinosaurs be related to their minimum required enclosure size. For example. Triceratops requires 2418 m2 of grassland and 831 of forest and has population tolerance limit of 16 and social group of 1-6. If the enclosure is 10x this size it should increase the tolerance limit for other dinos 10x from 16 to 160. It makes no sense for a Trike to tolerate a dozen other dinos maximum in an enclosure that just about satisfies it's requirement for grassland and woodland and have the same tolerance in an enclosure that covers half the island. If there is 8 Triceratops instead of 6 have two go on to form their own separate social groups rather than every triceratops going rabid and attacking fences and people. If there's space let dino's be. I think I'm not alone when I say that I'd like to create a biosphere of sorts where animals are left to wander on their own and create their own social circles, herds and groups as they would in nature and then have tourists use spheres to travel trough the enclosure and see them act natural. Carnivores shouldn't be hunting down one dino after another if they're not hungry, herbivores shouldn't be going insane because there's 16 dino's on their half of the island instead of 15, carnivores should avoid each other if there's enough space and food rather than seek each other to fight for no reason, unless we modified them with aggressive genome or they're a mutant like Indominus. Maybe have it be a selectable game rule called "realistic dinosaur behavior" or something along said lines.
13. Just had a game in which a dilophosaur escaped enclosure and fell asleep in the middle of the road. Panicking people of course ran down said road, tripped over the sleeping dinos and were thrown around like ragdolls or simply fell down dead. If dino is not actually attacking people don't have them react to touching one as if they're struck by lightning.
14. Please get rid of lowered opinion by 2 divisions for completing assignments from another division. There is no reason why they can't coexist. One of the best features of return to Jurassic park expansion was that completing assignments from Grant doesn't make Sattler decide to let Dino's escape and murder a dozen people. It breaks immersion when this happens. People accepted a job in a company, they should expect to work together. It's no an either or choice. Having chief of security open carnivore fences and lead to deaths of dozens would have said security chief frying on the chair in every capital penalty state or sitting in prison for the rest of the life for the states that don't. Maybe have it be a game rule choice on startup?"
15. Please add Instant incubation so you can play sandbox and get dinos right away.
Thank u
