Add thunder and lightning to JWE2

Jens Erik Some weather conditions are missing like thunder and lightning, I hope Frontier team adds them in the game.

It will be like Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. During thunderstorms, the balloon attractions will be closed and there is a likelihood of guests being stranded in the dinosaur exhibits when the balloons crash.

Not that I'm against thunder and lightning, I'd much rather they start with a sky box overhaul. I find it to be a weak point of all the Frontier park building games.

The other thing that should be addressed is the nighttime lighting. I'm not sure why video game developers are so afraid of night. Night times being dark is a fact of life. Build during the day.

Once a nice looking sky is in, some darkened night time, then lightning effects would have so much more impact. Especially when you get that strobe effect from the flash contrasting against a very dark park. Throw in a stalking T-Rex (a la Gallen Kingdom) and you've got yourself a solid unforgettable moment in your game.

I agree with your whole idea.🤩

My best guess if that they fear that if nighttime is too dark, few players will use it. Then that aspect of the game will largely go unused and arguably wasted. Given how Frontier made it so that you have play through the Campaign in JWE 1 to unlock everything for Sandbox and play through Campaign, Chaos Theory, and Challenge Mode in JWE 2 to unlock all of the maps for Sandbox, it seems like they really don't like making anything that few players will use or play.

I would argue that games with a good night time are the most memorable. When WoW was first put out, it had a really good day-night cycle and completely transformed the environments you played in. The only problem is the cycle was completely out of the player's hands, so tough luck if you didn't like it. Dying Light is an extreme example of what a day-night cycle can do to a game.

In the Jurassic franchise, bad things happen at night - and often during a storm. Getting that atmosphere captured in this game would do wonders.
