Dinosaurs adding new predators

Your Feature Request / Idea
reading all the topics about dinosaurs for a week, I found 10 most popular and unusual predators:
1) Concavenator

2) Rugops

3) Qianzhousaurus

4) Cryolophosaurus

5)Oviraptor

6) Austroraptor

7) Herrerasaurus

8) Australovenator

9) Ornitholestes \ Proceratosaurus

10) Troodon

that's not counting the other three predators that I think should be added along with Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis - Dino Pack, ( Albertosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus,Carcharadontosaurus) so we have 13 of the most sought-after carnivorous dinosaurs. Again, this is not just my opinion, it is the most discussed not added predatory on the forum

Like it. Especially I would love to see Herrerasaurus in the game and the Concavenator after its "cameo" in Fallen Kingdom. Speaking of which, I would add the

dimetrodon

to the list: A long time and long missed favourite in the franchise and it would differ from the other carnivores. [up][up]

never heard of those... i just know about Carcadontosaurus and Tarbosaurus from the tyranosaur family is what i would like to see

more dinosaurs are definitely coming the only question is which ones

Hey Merry, i wanted to post a similar thread but you got to it before i did. Mine was just going to talk about small predators as i feel the three we have are far too few, especially when they can often make an exhibit feel alive when paired with bigger creatures. I intended to have the herrera and the oviraptor in there too, but since you beat me to it now i would have too few to post about, so can you please add the following two dinos to your suggestion, as small carnivores?

Ornitholestes - this one is perhaps a little bigger than a raptor, kindof reminds me of a quick, lean version of a cerato, heavily featured in an episode of walking with dinosaurs.

Troodon - this one is likely a bit smaller than a raptor. Two possibilities exist for this one, one, if there is a day/night cycle implemented, they ccould be more active in the night (and their eyes should glow, jurassic canon now, hah), if the cycle option is active, otherwise they'll just be active at all times. And second, it might be interesting to make these creatures kill differently. Instead of killing the animal they hunt, they will instead just deliver a bite and continue to stalk their target. In jurassic Park it's canon that these creatures had a venomous bite, so it could be done, to further diversify them, that their bites inflict a "poisoned" status on a target, and unless healed by a ranger, that target will expire without the need to be killed directly by the troodons. This can work exactly the same way that sleep darts currently do, as each bite will increase the speed and extent of the filling of the metre, but instead of the animal going to sleep, it dies.

if you could copy paste this into your suggestions, that would be fantastic! Provided you agree of course.

As for my feelings on your original suggestions personally, i disagree with suggestions 1, 2 and 8.

2 is basically a carbon copy of the Majungasaurus that's currently in the game and i dont think we need more dinos that look like existing dinos, especially ones that look identical to an already existing one. And a very similiar thing can be said for 8. Both the metriacantho and the majungasaurus look fairly alike right now and the rugops and Australovenator, i feel, would just increase that.

I fill heartedly agree with and back the herrera and the oviraptor, the rest are nice, but i could go either way on them.

I would also add that we scarcely need more "medium"sized carnivores, save for an Albertosaurus to round out their roster. We already have Ceratosaurus, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Majungasaurus, Metriacathosaurus and Suchomimus (unless it gets scaled up to fit a Large carnivore a bit more). If we get only an Alberto, we'd have more diversity in these than we know what to do with, while we only have 3 small carnivores.

without problems. about Ornitholestes and Proceratosaurus really talked a lot, as I missed them, corrected. Ornitholestes and Proceratosaurus I decided to join because they are very similar and I don't think it is necessary to add both, but one of them definitely want to see in your Park. Troodon is also an insanely interesting dinosaur, but I thought it would be added to the mini dinisaur theme, but it turns out that it's too big for small ones, and small to shoot it from a helicopter. But I believe that the developers will find a way out and add it!

i just want a Tarbosaurus...more tyranosaur variety would be a good thing especially for Rexy cause having just one tyranosaur in the game will get old and it would be a damn shame to let the main attraction of Jurassic Park fade into boredom because there's no variety...Rexy needs a rest from the spotlight

i dunno... if i was a developer it would be crazy fun making another tyranosaur ...it would be very interesting to see the differences between two different tyrant lizards

Nice idea, some nice dino suggestions but are they canon to the franchise? This is the problem that we have with this, because it's based on the movie franchise, we can't really have stuff added to it that's not in the franchise its self.

To be fair though, a lot of the Dinosaurs make sense to add, especially Rugops and Carcharadontosaurus. Both of which lived at the same time as Spinosaurus, with the latter actually contributing to the demise of Spinosaurus, when it was forced to come inland to hunt after there was a climate shift.
Rugops fossils have also been found near Spinosaurus fossils, suggesting that it wasn't a predator, but a scavenger. This is also depicted in Planet Dinosaur, the UK TV series from 2012 or something.

Yes, I agree with you, but at least kill me, I do not remember in the movie dinosaurs such as Archaeornithomimus, Gigantosaurus, Gigantspinosaurus,Diplodocus, Dracorex, Sauropelta, Nodosaurus and many others, half of the dinosaurs available now was not in the film, the maximum name on the label on the flask and all. Although for example Huayangosaurus even on calligraphy nowhere like not was. Then what prevents to add these? Concavenator for example, if my memory does not change, is in the form of a statue behind the glass in the last film, and the genes Rugops added to Indominus Rex,

This is absolutely and entirely untrue. There havent been deinonychus or metriacanthosauruses or torosauruses and many many many other dinos currently featured in JWE in any of the movies. Absolutely nothing stops or has stopped frontier from adding dinos not in the franchise to this game. I have no idea where you got that idea from. Since Jurassic Park and Jurassic World are based on actual paleontology and existing dinosaurs, the only thing that Frontier have to pay attention to is sticking fairly close to the canon representation to dinos that -have- been in the movies, everything else is, has and always will be fair game. The very idea of a restriction to only movie dinosaurs wouldnt make any sense even for Universal.

While I agree on the first part about dinos not needing to be "canon", I disagree on them being based on actual paleontology... true, they tried to do so in JP and to a certain extreme in JP3 with the feathered raptors but they have plenty of creative licenses (well explained in canon) as it should be, just because nobody, not even the most accomplished paleontologist, has a clue as to what this animals actually looked like.

Still, it is known some of them had feathers, others were capable of acquiring another sizes... but, overall, I don't think those details are that important to the franchise.

Loosely based is still based. Just because the franchise takes liberties with paleontology doesnt mean they dont in any way look at it.

Agreed, and the fact they include so many dinos that havent been in the movies is something i am super happy about.
