Adding Roller Coaster supports and transfer tracks

Hello,

This is my first post in awhile, and I don't know if these ideas were already brought up somewhere else; But I think it would be great if we could add supports to roller coasters as well as remove them (like we currently can)? I believe this would be helpful in that our roller coasters will look better aesthetically.

Another idea (and this one is more of a long shot). Would it be possible to add some sort of official transfer track for the roller coasters? Game play wise the transfer track could be a place to add additional block brake sections (so as to allow for more trains if necessary without trying to fit them on the actual circuit). I hope the devs find this post and maybe get some inspiration from it.

Thanks for making this game :)

I would love some of these more special elements some day in the future.

For example:

- different stations for transport rides especially water rides like a conveyor belt station or a rotating platform station
- dual stations for coasters like paralel to eachother
- multiple stations for coasters
- loading/unloading stations
- different lifts like rotating lift
- transfer tracks/switches

but i dont know how hard they will be implemented

however: more control over our supports really is necesarry if you want to have realistic coasters, I think that should be a priority :D

thanks alot devs for considering [heart]

I think it would be already a huge improvement if the game would (either optionally or by default) allow footers on pathways. This is not an exception in reality and would look way more realistic than the floating track. In one of the betas we actually received an option to allow supports on top of scenery, while supports also disappeared when clipping with one polygon of scenery in earlier versions. Why not do the same for paths? They could even use the collision detection code from the path scenery to prevent guests from walking through the supports.

Of course it would be even better to just allow us to optionally place supports at an exact location, more often than not the game hides a support because there is something in the way, while there is plenty of free ground just a few inches next to that.

this would also be a great, fast and cheap solution over custom supports

have an option to enable the crossing of supports through paths, scenery and buildings. And then maybe one time with UGC we can have fully custom supports but right now this would look much better and realistic than floating supports yes

I would love to have transfer tracks for coasters and transport rides. I'm already looking forward to build depots for my spare trains. [big grin]

Did that option get removed form final build or just automatically added? Cause I can't seem to find that in my options. Unless I'm just totally blatantly missing it?

I have seen some youtubers' (mainly Silvarret) placing transfer tracks for the sake of realism, but I think that if they actually served a function as well that would be better.

I agree whole heartedly. :)
