Hello
I am playing living Elite in VR and I really enjoy it. It is great that you can even have a short "walk" on the bridge of your ship so you really feel like "this is my home".
Too bad it is the only moment when you actually feel that you are "in" as a person. I got two ideas:
1: I would definitely enjoy opportunity to see other parts of my ships. Such as cargo, passenger cabin, bedroom, toilet...
I was thinking about developing such a thing just by myself, but then it would not be connected to the game and therefore did not reflect actual situation. (ship type, cargo, location, commander's appearance etc.). Plus, It would be different engine than Cobra.
It may sound like useless thing, but it would be really great to have a chance to walk around.... plus... check your revenue from all the extras sold that has no other purpose than just cosmetic. And Frontier would be the owner of the galactic Ikea.
2. Pub or some "social" room in stations. Does not need to be a brothel for lost sailors, but it would be nice to actually enjoy staying at the station a bit more than just open the panel while still sitting in the pilot chair. (Which does not look really comfy, btw). Maybe pub or some overlook.. just one room with window (camera) directed to station entrance or nearby planet...
I know it is nothing really important... just "nice to have" thing which translated to dev language (at least in my devel team at work) means "no time - dream about it!", but it would be really cool for even deeper immersion....
What do you guys think?
BTW: guys responsible for models of cockpits did absolutely awesome job!!! Can't say how much I adore the devs who did it. (Btw, when you turn back on bridge in Conda, there is a corridor. I tried to walk there, but it is too far for Oculus cable. Is there anything like door or something? Just curious...
