So a particular station I’ve been trading with for some time now without issue has gone into lockdown. I understand why the lockdowns happen however there seems to be a lack of info about such a lockdown in place to inform would be visitors in advance. Nothing in the navigation listing. Nothing on any map mentions a lockdown in system or station info. There is no chat message when entering the system informing of a lockdown, though there appears to be increased police activity. Nothing in a news feed.

Seems only logical in this advanced age that important information such as a station or an entire system being in lockdown would be broadcast one way or another. Would like to see station status in menus accurately updated with current status and/or would like to see perhaps an alert channel or a news channel in chat popping up with such info at the very least when entering a system.

Thanks for the reply. Is the info for the system you are in or the next one? If it’s the next one that gives some helpful information, at least for the next system one is jumping to. Still it seems to me that station lockdowns severely impact trade and so there should be a bulletin or news alert in advance that such and such system is currently locked down.

It's for the system you are in. Nothing is preloaded in the UI, except for the little bit of jump info you get just before/during the countdown. tbh I don't pay enough attention to notice if Lockdown is one of the things it mentions, but that would only apply to the controlling faction anyway and any individual faction could be in Lockdown which would only apply to the stations they control.
