Hi, I am doing the combat tutorials using mouse and keyboard. I need a little help to understand and setup the mouse controls. I have bound roll to keyboard and yaw to mouse x-axis. This helped a lot and stopped me from rolling and pitching allover like a drunk :)
When I pitch using the mouse I have trouble stopping the pitch movement again. It just keeps drifting. Same with Yaw. Keeps drifting. I cannot steer and aim precisely. Can I set it up so when I stop moving the mouse, it stops the pitch movement?

A small movement of the mouse in the opposite direction should stop the drift. If this isn't happening maybe you have accidentally turned off Flight Assist? (Default key 'Z').

Can I set it up so when I stop moving the mouse, it stops the pitch movement?

AFAIK there is no way to set up so stopping the mouse stops the drift.

Also - have you got the mouse widget turned on? This shows which direction the ship is pitching or yawing and makes it easier to counteract the drift.

I use standard mouse and keyboard set up. At first it felt impossible, then I reduced the mouse deadzone to nil (or perhaps a tiny notch above nil) , and it's been good since then.

There is an option to set a key to "reset mouse"
set a key up for this it is very useful when you need to fly in a straight line or kill pitch/roll/yaw
I use left alt a nice thumb friendly key as I am tapping this key a lot and don't want to move my hand to access it.
