Advanced Discovery Scanner & materials [Suggestion]

An advanced discovery scanner should let you know what kind of materials you can find on the planet. Driving around for hours and not finding what I'm looking for it's frustrating.

Or the Detailed Surface Scanner, but yeah definitely second this idea!

In the meantime there is a spreadsheet that might help you, but it is really annoying having to use it instead of having an in game method.
