I've been using an xbox 360 controller for quite a while now and I've just started using the "Advanced Gamepad" option. First of all, huge improvement, definitely better than previous default settings, big fan.
The main issue I have however, is that the Comm and Sensor focus is not set to any bindings, and to set it to a a specific key binding, you need to sacrifice something else. Sensor focus I find is not essential and I can easily live without it, but the Comm focus I find quite necessary, and if you are only using a Gamepad (no mouse and keyboard nearby) accessing the Comm panel with the default settings is actually impossible. For me it was a fairly easy choice to switch the default cargo scoop binding (x+up) to the Comm panel, since cargo scoop is accessible from my system panel, and I use it very rarely.
However, I feel like there is a much easier solution to this that doesn't require me to saccrifice any set bindings for other systems. Simply change the Target panel binding (x+left) and System panel binding (x+right) to scroll through all panels. So pressing (x+left) will bring you first to the target panel, but pressing again will bring you to Sytem panel-->Sensor panel-->Comm panel and pressing (x+right) will simply scroll through them in the other direction.
anyway, just a thought, any other suggestions are more than welcome.
Edited only for bad grammar
