Advanced Park Stroll Camera Mode

I know about the "TEDIGAM" option, tried it, but I find it way too unstable. One wrong click or button and you're out again. What I would really enjoy is a mode where in you can be a guest yourself, walk around with the guest's speed and physics, enter queue lines and rides as a guest would do etc. With the current "TEDIGAM", the camera can move off the paths and it doesn't feel like you're really walking.

Imagine being able to really walk through your own park, wouldn't that be amazing?

Yes this is a feature I have wanted even in RCT3. This was a feature in Theme park World.
Just imagine rollplaying you really visit your park. [heart]

A function were you walk through a park, for enjoyment. No multiplayer! In fact everything is static you cant change anything. Just walk around, enjoy and ride rides. No other guests, just you on your own but hopefully also other players. So some can explore a park with a friend or with a group, or others that are in that park just by pure coincidence. And yes with a chat function so you can socialize with your friends or others who are also exploring the park. That would mean a online function. Everybody has created their own guest so that figure you'll see walking around just like a rpg.

A function like this wouldn't be so demanding. Computer doesn't have to calculate management or building options, or all the guest's in the park.

I could imagine myself going into Planet Coaster, and go to this special function and see all the parks where this is possible. Maybe with a rating system so i can see which parks had the most visitors online and the most like's. This way the best parks will stand out and will give the game a great socialize aspect witch it is missing i think. You'll also see the players who are currently exploring that park and you'll join them off course.

I can imagine myself visiting a park more time's maybe every day why not. Some parks are so beautiful and big they deserve a second visit. Next to the scenario editor this would be a great function. Players can upload their park to steam and this way it will be visible in the list of parks that can be visited online.

I think you meant to say Yes to multiplayer? as for chat most people just use discord, but I'm confused why you wrote "No multiplayer" if you want to explore parks with friends

Okey your maybe right on this one breezer. But multiplayer is a very broad description. What i want is quite different well, you'd have to read my post from earlier to fully understand what i mean. But technically, your right.

not sure what you mean, super mario bros is a multiplayer game, chess is a multiplayer game, but when your talking about multiplayer for planet coaster I assume your talking about being able to invite a friend to enjoy riding coasters together. However, there is also multiplayer like in the game OpenRCT2 where you can build a park in co-op with other players. So, I suppose if you want to get technical, you could say that there is "co-op" multiplayer and "competitive" multiplayer and also "spectator" multiplayer. Personally, I think it would be awesome to have co-op or competitive multiplayer in this game, but as of right now the devs have said that its not in the plans

Thanks for the technicality! I think i do mean Spectator Multiplayer. But does Planet coaster also know i meant to say this. It frustrates me they were so dismissive about the multiplayer topic. Makes me feel they haven't read my posts about this. I shall let it go now again for a few months but every now a then i'll pop up and beg for this feature. And sure some will immediately say that multiplayer is out of the question cause the mighty devs have said so and i'll say that i mean 'Spectator Multiplayer' and hopefully they will understand me a bit better.

Well technically planet coaster does have "spectator" mode, its called twitch and youtube and livestreams [up]

I'm trying to understand... if you want multiplayer then you want to be able to join somebody elses park in order to play, build, and rides coasters together, but thats not possible... if you just want to spectate, you can watch people play the game in video form like on youtube. Thats just how it goes

We already went over this, but what your asking for ^HERE^ is called "co-op" and that wont happen (at least not soon)

Like I said before, if you want co-op or multiplayer you should check out OpenRCT2

I'm just trying to understand why you wrote "No Multiplayer" and then went on to ask for online co-op [big grin] its not a big deal but I wouldnt get too hopeful about any sort of multiplayer/co-op in this game. At least we have spectator mode thanks to live streams!

You asked for a chat function so I thought I would help and suggest checking out Discord, lots of PlanCo players chat on there

To the OP, yes this would be amazing, a properly designed and built walk-about camera mode. The walking speed needs fixing, and I also noticed it sometimes glitches and throws you out. Seamless entry and exit from rides is needed in this mode. A true First Person Guest mode basically.

HELL YES! But such a feature almost constitutes "Planet Coaster 2". It sounds like a major backbone feature. Who knows.

Remember Second LIfe? I think it's still going. So basically second life, but in Planet Coaster! [yum]
