Adventures of the Dread Pirate Roberts

I've started an in character video series of my exploits as a pirate, both as a learning tool for myself/others and as a new experience; this is the first time I've done a series, let alone an in character one. Feel free to check it out if you want. Sorry if this is in the wrong place; it seemed like it'd be in the roleplayers alley. I try to keep in-game mechanics/limitations explained in an in-character fashion (the recent Clipper masslock fix is a good example) if you're wondering why some stuff may not make sense at first, it might be creative license. I'm open to feedback and directions on the series; it doesn't have to stay focused on piracy either, that's just where I'm going with it at the moment.

Sorry to say this but i didn't see any cargo scanning or much piracy here but lots of murder :(

People can play the game the way they want ofc but if you are going to call yourself a pirate then you need to actually ask them to drop goods and cargo scan to know what to ask for ;)

If they stop, I scan 'em. If they don't stop, I shoot 'em. Not sure where you're getting the murder though, I didn't murder anyone in the second video. Not my fault they didn't bring a repair module. I have a reputation to uphold. I can't be letting people escape because I took 10 seconds to scan them, ask them politely to drop some cargo, wait patiently for them to find the cargo release, all while they're boosting full speed away from me.

Also, did you even watch the second video? There was a lot more scanning and demanding in that one. The Clipper is much more threatening than a Cobra; the Cobra can't masslock anything. At 8:00 minutes and beyond, most of the pilots I encountered were reasonable enough to submit to a scan. A Type 6 half attempted to get away, then reconsidered when I demanded part of his cargo and he saw the masslock notification from my Clipper.

I always comm my targets before interdiction to let them know I'm going to scan them. If they run, it's their own fault. And for the record, pirates in ye olde days of salt and sail began by shooting followed by looting.

This. This is not EVE, and "pirate" is not code for going on a murder rampage.

Learn to rob the victim and to let them go. Use limpets, or just shoot the hatch open. If you are any good, you don't need to disable the target to do it.

This is purely disingenius. You are using the exploit where you can force people to self-destruct and avoid a murder charge. Let's hope you're not a log-off exploiter if I happen to come accross you "pirate".

I welcome your challenge. I do not log off, nor do I use any exploit. May I respectfully remind you the recent patch to the Field Maintenance Unit allows repair of thrusters; if Commanders do not feel the need to use it, that is not my issue. As my limpets are too slow to catch up to a target attempting to flee, I am left no option but to disable them so that I have time to maneuver into a position where my limpets can do their job.

I brought the tools to do my job. It's not my fault (nor my concern) if the traders do not. Don't call me a murderer because traders are too concerned with that extra cargo space to equip a cheap and easy to use repair module.
