Advertising player state to their players.

Some clever commander in the forum had a BRILLIANT idea about having an indication (an icon) as such if the other player were in a menu.
So you could physically see them combat logging in game if you were chasing them.

But this can be expanded to a lot of other scenarios.
FSS, holo-me, maps, Engineer menus when you loose helm control.

An additional Iconography or colour change is “report crimes against me”
So you can see if the player you are attacking is willing to play ball tonight.

So when glancing through your contact you know who to attack or not. (And notoriety adjuster accordingly).
So report crimes and staring into the FSS is a big do not disturb sign as such.
 
Interesting concept. I don't have a problem with it, but it WILL be abused. For example, griefers will intentionally target vulnerable CMDRs who are in menu.
